By accessing PixelloHost.com or PixelloHost.co.za or using any of our hosting, development, cloud, email, reseller, or web services (“Services”), you agree to the following Terms of Service (“Terms”). These Terms exist to ensure transparency, service integrity, and security for all clients. Please read them carefully before using our platform.
1. Eligibility & Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, placing an order, or using our Services, you confirm that you are:
- At least 18 years and older, or
- Under the supervision and approval of a legal guardian who may be asked to provide proof of age.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must discontinue use of our Services immediately.
2. Account Responsibilities
You are fully responsible for the security, management, and activity of your PixelloHost account, including:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and account access information
- Ensuring that all personal, contact, and billing information remains accurate and updated
- Monitoring all activity performed within your hosting account, even if performed by third parties you authorized
PixelloHost may suspend or terminate accounts involved in fraud, abuse, illegal activity, payment disputes, or repeated violations of these Terms. You are also responsible for securing your websites, applications, plugins, themes, and third-party integrations to prevent vulnerabilities or unauthorized access.
3. Use of Hosting Services
By using our hosting services, you agree that you will NOT engage in or host any of the following:
- Malware, phishing pages, fake login portals, botnets, or harmful scripts
- Spam tools, unsolicited bulk email systems, or mass-mailing services without written approval
- Distribution of copyrighted material without licensing or legal right
- Illegal services, fraudulent operations, or prohibited goods
- Extremist, hateful, violent, or otherwise abusive content
- Cryptocurrency mining or automated compute-intensive processes (unless explicitly permitted)
- Stress testing, DDoS tools, penetration testing, or security scanning without written authorization
- Overloading server resources or causing harm to server performance or stability
- Hosting adult content that violates applicable laws or PixelloHost policies
- Misuse of DNS, SMTP, API gateways, cron jobs, or automated task systems
3.1 Administrative Access, Security Audits & Control Panel Inspection
To maintain a safe, secure, and legally compliant hosting environment, PixelloHost retains the right to access and inspect your hosting account, control panel, files, databases, configurations, or related system information without prior permission when required for:
- Investigating abuse reports or legal complaints
- Responding to phishing, malware, or security threat notifications
- Identifying illegal, harmful, or prohibited material
- Ensuring the stability of shared server resources
- Protecting other customers and the infrastructure from immediate harm
- Validating Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy violations
PixelloHost will only view what is strictly necessary to confirm the existence of harmful, illegal, or abusive material. We do not browse account contents for personal data or unrelated information.
3.2 No Unauthorized Modifications
While PixelloHost may inspect files or configurations under the above circumstances, we will not modify, delete, adjust, fix, or alter any of your website files, settings, databases, or configurations unless:
- You open a support ticket requesting technical assistance, and
- You explicitly authorize PixelloHost staff to perform changes or repairs.
Without this explicit authorization, PixelloHost limits all access to inspection only.
3.3 Emergency Actions
In the event of an active threat that jeopardizes server performance, user security, legal compliance, or network integrity, PixelloHost may take immediate action, including:
- Suspending the affected hosting account
- Quarantining malicious or harmful files
- Disabling actively abusive scripts
These actions are taken strictly to prevent widespread harm, and the account holder will be notified as soon as reasonably possible.
3.4 Removal of Harmful or Illegal Content
PixelloHost reserves the right to suspend or remove content that:
- Violates local, regional, or international law
- Threatens server stability, user safety, or network security
- Is fraudulent, deceptive, or malicious in intent
- May result in legal or reputational damage to PixelloHost
Continued violation may result in termination of service without refund.
4. Resource Usage & Limitations
Shared hosting plans operate under fair-use limitations. Excessive use of CPU, RAM, I/O, bandwidth, or storage may result in:
- Temporary throttling
- Automatic service optimization
- Suspension pending review
- A required upgrade to a higher-tier plan or dedicated environment
We may recommend you to upgrade your service, or we can advise buying additional account resources
5. Billing, Payments & Invoices
All services are prepaid. Non-payment results in suspension after the invoice due date. Data may be permanently deleted between 14–30 days after expiry.
5.1 Direct Bank Transfer Orders
Orders paid via bank transfer will be automatically activated before payment is received. However, clients must send proof of payment within 48 hours to billing@pixellohost.com. During unpaid activation periods, support services may be limited.
What PixelloHost won’t assist with until payment:
- No technical support such as DNS, Migrations or fixing site problems during the users own migration
What PixelloHost will assist with:
- Respond to general enquiry’s
- Billing issues
6. Refund Policy
Refunds may be issued within the advertised money-back guarantee period when applicable. Refunds do NOT apply to:
- Domain purchases or transfers
- Licensing fees (LiteSpeed, CloudLinux, cPanel, etc.)
- Services terminated due to Terms violations
- Development or design deposits
7. Backups & Data Responsibility
PixelloHost may offer automated backups; however, these are not guaranteed. Clients are responsible for maintaining their own external backups. If your allocated backup storage is exceeded, you must either purchase additional space or specify which items to retain.
8. Data Protection & Privacy
PixelloHost adheres to modern privacy standards, including GDPR where applicable. We collect only essential data required to deliver, secure, and improve our services. Your information is never sold.
9. Security Responsibilities
PixelloHost employs firewalls, malware scanning, and monitoring; however, no system is 100% protected from vulnerabilities. Users are responsible for maintaining secure installations, plugins, and scripts.
10. Domain Registration, Renewal & Transfer Policies
Domain registration is not guaranteed until the domain is successfully registered and confirmed by the applicable registry. All domain services provided by PixelloHost must comply with ICANN regulations, registry policies, and applicable laws. Domain transfers require the correct EPP/Auth code, an unlocked domain status, and that the domain meets all eligibility requirements for outbound transfer.
10.1 Promotional Free Domain — One-Month Hosting Plan
PixelloHost offers certain hosting packages that include a domain at no additional cost (“Promotional Domain”). Due to the high volume of abuse involving attempts to obtain free domains for immediate transfer, resale, or domain-snatching, the following terms apply strictly.
A. Customer Ownership & Functional Control
The Promotional Domain is registered under the customer’s information. During the promotional period, the customer retains full functional control, including:
- DNS management
- Nameserver modification
- Website hosting and configuration
- Email setup (where supported)
- Domain forwarding or redirection
Except for transfer restrictions explained below, customers may use the domain normally without limitation.
B. Mandatory 6-Month Transfer Lock
Any domain obtained through the One-Month promotional hosting plan is subject to a mandatory 6-month non-transfer lock beginning on the date of successful registration. During this period, the customer:
- May NOT transfer the domain to another registrar
- May NOT initiate any outbound transfer requests
- May NOT request EPP/Auth codes for the purpose of transfer
- May NOT move the domain to another PixelloHost account for resale or reallocation
This requirement exists solely to prevent abuse of the promotional offer and protect PixelloHost from fraudulent registrations intended to obtain valuable domains at no cost.
C. Attempted Early Transfer & Administrative Fees
If a customer attempts to transfer a Promotional Domain before the 6-month period ends, PixelloHost may apply one or more of the following measures:
- Assessment of an administrative fee equal to the full retail cost of the domain registration and renewal
- Temporary account locking pending review
- Reversal of promotional discounts or free domain benefits
- Revocation of eligibility for future promotional offers
PixelloHost may deny the transfer request until all outstanding administrative fees or concerns are resolved.
D. Registry-Level Retention & Enforcement
PixelloHost may retain partial administrative control of the Promotional Domain at the registry level for up to 6 months solely to enforce the transfer lock. This retention does not affect:
- Your DNS settings
- Your website hosting functionality
- Your email services (where applicable)
- Your ability to use or manage the domain normally
This retention applies only to transfer rights and does not restrict daily use in any other way.
E. Non-Payment, Cancellation, or Early Termination
If the associated hosting plan is canceled or unpaid during the first 6 months:
- PixelloHost may retain ownership or control of the Promotional Domain
- The domain will remain locked from transfer until all obligations are fulfilled
- A redemption or release fee may apply if the customer wishes to reacquire the domain
These policies are in place to prevent fraudulent activity and ensure customers understand the terms of the promotion prior to using the domain.
F. Full Transfer Rights After 6 Months
Upon completing the 6-month period with all invoices paid and the hosting service in good standing, customers may request outbound transfer of the domain with no restrictions, and the EPP/Auth code will be provided upon request.
11. Service Availability
PixelloHost aims to provide high-level uptime; however, interruptions may occur due to maintenance, attacks, hardware failure, or external network issues.
12. Reseller Hosting Terms
Users operating reseller plans must comply with the following:
- Resellers are fully responsible for their clients’ activity
- Any TOS breach by a reseller’s client is treated as a breach by the reseller
- Resellers must provide support to their clients—PixelloHost supports reseller account holders only
- Overselling resources is prohibited unless explicitly enabled on the plan
- Resellers may not impersonate PixelloHost or imply ownership of PixelloHost infrastructure
- PixelloHost may suspend reseller accounts that host abusive or high-risk customers
13. Suspension & Termination
PixelloHost may suspend or terminate accounts for:
- Non-payment
- Illegal activity
- Severe or repeated Terms violations
- Security threats or server instability
- Abuse or harassment of staff
14. Limitation of Liability
PixelloHost is not liable for:
- Data loss
- Business interruption
- Security breaches
- Loss of revenue or profit
- Downtime or service unavailability
- Actions of third-party providers or registrars
15. Website Development & Design Services
PixelloHost provides optional development, branding, and design services. These services are governed by strict intellectual property protections.
15.1 Ownership of Work Before Payment
All drafts, layouts, templates, source code, design concepts, prototypes, graphics, and written content produced during development remain the exclusive property of PixelloHost until the project is paid in full.
Clients may not copy, download, screenshot, reproduce, deploy, or use any design or code prior to full payment. Any attempt to do so constitutes intellectual property theft.
15.2 Deposit Requirements
PixelloHost may require a deposit between 25% to 50% before beginning development. Deposits are non-refundable once work begins.
15.3 Release of Final Work
All final files, credentials, source code, and website deployment occur only after the full payment has been made.
15.4 Non-Payment, Chargebacks & Abandonment
If the client refuses to pay the remaining balance, attempts a chargeback, or abandons the project:
- All work remains the property of PixelloHost
- No files or access will be delivered
- PixelloHost may delete or archive all work
- Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited and legally actionable
15.5 SEO Services & Results Disclaimer
PixelloHost offers optional Search Engine Optimization (“SEO”) services to improve website visibility and organic search rankings. Clients acknowledge that SEO results are not immediate and are influenced by factors beyond PixelloHost’s control, including search engine algorithms, website content quality, domain authority, and competitor activity.
Timeframe for Results
SEO is a long-term strategy. Noticeable improvements in search engine rankings or organic traffic may take 6 to 12 months to appear. No specific ranking or traffic guarantees are promised.
Factors Affecting Performance
- Search engine algorithm updates or changes
- Quality and relevance of website content
- Competitor websites and SEO strategies
- User engagement, backlinks, and external signals
- Technical website factors such as page speed, mobile responsiveness, and structured data
Client Responsibilities
- Providing accurate, timely content and website access
- Implementing recommended on-page changes when requested
- Maintaining compliance with search engine guidelines
No Guarantees
While PixelloHost follows best practices to improve visibility and rankings, we do not guarantee any specific ranking, traffic volume, or revenue increase. SEO performance is inherently uncertain due to external factors beyond our control.
16. Modifications to the Terms
PixelloHost may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
